Fontastic Birthday Invitations!
I treated myself to a couple of fonts recently and I couldn't wait to put them to good use, especially my new cursive fonts. Ever since I began practicing my hand-lettering, I've been more drawn to calligraphy style fonts, such as Bulgary by Artimasa.
I have a pretty hefty font wish-list, but after seeing the many different looks you can achieve with Bulgaria by using the glyphs palette in Illustrator (as seen in the image below), buying this one was an easy choice. It's clean, legible, fun and sophisticated at the same time - not an easy combination of characteristics to achieve, so hats off to the designer for a job well done and font well designed!
And thanks to all the amazing font designers out there! You guys make our job as graphic designers MUCH easier by providing us with the tools that allow us to shine in our craft.

Puppy Love
Aren't puppies the cutest? I love dogs, they're so lovable and full of personality. They are often a source of inspiration for me, as well as a subject matter when drawing on my sketchbook.
I drew this little guy sometime in the summer of 2014 during my lunch break. Since then, he lived on a small piece of scrap paper, smiling at me daily from my bulletin board. Last week however, I brought my little pup home with me and I gave him new life. I transformed him from a cute simple doodle into a digital illustration.
Today, my little "Bandana Doggy" adorns the cover of this lovely thank you card and is also featured on stickers, bookplates and address labels over at my shop at PaisleyInParis.com.

He's the perfect stationery icon for any pet birthday parties, or doggy themed baby showers and birthday parties. Yes he is!

Printable Party Invitations
Looking for easy DIY printable invitations? Well, over the next few weeks, I will be adding several affordable options to my website, as an alternative to purchasing customized invitations on my Zazzle shop. While invitations through my shop are high quality and usually printed and shipped within 24 hours, they start at about $2 each invitation.
On the other hand, if you purchase the fill-in-the blank alternatives on my website, you can print as many as you need for one low price, with designs starting as low as $2.99 each. Now that's a deal!
Below are a few designs currently available through my website at dioselina.com:

New: Japanese Kokeshi Doll Note Cards
Hi there! Santa was very kind to me this year and brought me the one thing that has been on my list for several years now - an Intuos Pro Wacom tablet!
This is my first illustration created using the tablet. It was inspired by little niece, Asami. Her daddy is Japanese, mommy (my sister) is Mexican-American, and little Asamichan is just gorgeous!
My new Japanese Kokeshi Doll design is now available in my Zazzle shop, where you'll find it on note cards, blank greeting cards, compact mirrors (great flower girl gift), iPad mini protective cases, stickers and magnets!
So happy I'll be off work for the next few days, which will give me a chance to stay home, play a bit more with my tablet and add a few more designs to my shop.

Another Day, Another Doodle
I was packaging some goodies to go out with our office mail this morning, when I realized I didn't have any thank you cards at hand. I looked in my drawers and found a few sheets of scrap paper and my two favorite pens. Within minutes and with the help of a little glue stick, I created this little birdie doodle and attached it onto pink card stock, and just like that, with a few words on that card, my package was complete. It is now on its way to New York, into the hands of a happy customer. Oh how I love paper!

Tangerine and Hot Pink Wedding Invitation Sample $3.99
I am currently in the process of selling most of the craft supplies, paper stocks and invitation samples that I've had on the shelves since then. I love paper, and it would be a shame for it to remain on my shelves, when it could otherwise be used by other fellow designers, paper crafters or brides-to-be.
The above piece was designed for a couple with a modest budget, who in order to cut costs, had their invitations laser printed on shimmer paper and light card stock, and used an RSPV post card, instead of a reply card and envelope. This is a great piece to own if you recently joined the Envelopments® family of resellers, or if you're a bride-to-be who is looking for wedding stationery inspiration.
Ships within 24 hours, from Palm Desert, California.

New Baby Shower Postage: Couple with Baby
I recently received a client request to modify my popular "Expecting Couple" baby shower illustration to include a baby in the picture. What a fabulous idea! I created the original illustration about two years ago for a coed baby shower. As time went by, I added different color options for this design, but I never thought of including the baby. You know what they say, "two minds are better than one," so please, don't ever hesitate to contact me if you find something in my shop that you like, but is in need of a few minor modifications to better fit your needs.
Below: Custom postage featuring modified "New Parents with Baby" artwork. Great for pregnancy announcements, birth announcements and thank you cards.
Shown above is the original illustration, on Baby Shower invitations.

Fabulous Little Monster Bookplates
I've been drawing a lot of little monsters lately. They're so cute and easy to draw because there are no rules. A monster is a monster, and they can look however you want them to look. They can have big eyes, big teeth, no legs, they can be green, and pink, or purple, and happy or angry, etc. My little monsters happen to be girly and stylish! Is there a little fabulous and stylish girly monster in your life? If so, these bookplates, paired with a great book or gift card to Amazon.com
, might make a perfect little gift they'd appreciate!

"Wishes for Baby" Cards
I am always delighted to receive special requests in regards to my existing artwork. This week, I received a request for a "Wishes for Baby" card featuring my "Baby In Tea Cup" illustration. These little cuties are a great way to inspire your baby shower guests to share their thoughts and wisdom with your little one. What a great little keepsake! Not only will the advice come in handy one day, but you will always have a way to remember who was there with you, celebrating the highly anticipated arrival of your little one.
My new "Wishes for Baby" cards are now available for purchase at PaisleyInParis.com, currently featuring my "Baby In Tea Cup" and "Mommy's Little Pumpkin" designs. I will continue to add more to coordinate with my existing collection, as well as adding a few brand new designs.

Envelopments® Papers for Wedding Invitations
I rarely work on custom wedding invitations anymore, but every once in a while I find it very difficult to say no to family requests. I've been a busy bee the last couple of weeks, but I'm also very happy with my new creations. Above is a sneak peek of one of the designs I've been working on the last few days. I am meeting the bride in a couple of days to deliver a printed sample and help her make some final choices before we proceed with production. The toughest choice will be which color to go with for the envelopes. Which one do you like best? Orchid, for a nice punch of color, or Lavelite for a nice soft shimmer? I know it's not a good photo. It's late and I don't have very good lighting inside the house at this hour, but you get the idea.
By the way, if you are a DIY bride or simply looking to purchase Envelopments® samples, send me an e-mail! Since I am no longer accepting custom design orders, I am trying to sell as much of my inventory as possible at very reasonable rates. You may contact me via e-mail at dio:::[at]:::paisleyinparis:::[dot]:::com.

Robot theme Save the Date card
All while juggling a full-time job, getting ready to move, cleaning, condensing, decluttering, training for a half-marathon and raising a 7 year-old, I made a little time to add a new item to my stationery shop. I had a custom request for Robot Wedding Invitations, which will now of course, turn into an entire wedding ensemble - I love it! All they needed were the invitations, but little by little I will continue to add other elements until the entire robot wedding stationery suite is completed. So far, in addition the invites, I've added the Save the Date cards shown below.
